WebSite for the National Baakleen Library. Design, development, web hosting
and programming cost is 1900 USD.

Computer Center in Mar Maroon Beitedeen School total of Seven desktop
computers 17" LCD screens, UPS and computer tables. cost is 3000 USD.
Project was inaugurated on 10th of October.

Heat Insulation project in Shouf National College classrooms by installing
double glazed windows. Cost of 9000 USD.

Library in village of Batloun.

On 15th of December, RC Chouf agreed to start the 5-year Plan of installing
Water Filtration system in ALL Public Schools in Chouf Area. Cost varies
between 1000 USD to 3000 USD depending on the status of water network system
at the school.

Pending projects from Previous years.

Water distribution network in the village of Bater - Chouf Region. The
existing water plant is old and is in great need for modern equipments and
expanding the networking pipes to the new houses of the village. The club
sent the project to be posted to WCS pages hoping to be able to have a
matching grant with a foreign club.

Offering the Seniors Home that is under construction as an annex to Ain Wa
Zein hospital. The club will offer 10 elderly beds, 10 bedside tables, 10
bed tables and 12 wheelchairs.

IRFAN hospital requested equipments for the ANALYSIS Laboratory. The hospital had to do
sent tests to another private laboratory.
The equipment needed cost 15,000 USD.

Baaklein College requested assistance in updating the library. Another
urgent need is the replacement of the existing heating system which is old
and the classes are
not warm enough for the students.

Six small Tractors and Six pesticides Spray pumps for the Agricultural
Co-operative in Chouf. Value is 20,000 USD.

Post-operative Recovery Bed for Ain-Wa-Zein Hospital. Value 22,500 USD. Provide a
bed outside the operating rooms for monitoring under-anesthesia patients
after undergoing surgery. Instead of keeping the patients in the operating
rooms after surgery, they could be moved to the recovery bed prior moving
the patients to their rooms, thus will lead to proper
utilization of the hospitalization period and increase the patients
satisfaction as well as efficient health monitoring. Up-to-date and fully equipped
Recovery Room is one of the main requirements in the accreditations
standards requested by Ministry of Health in Lebanon. Ain-wa-Zein hospital
serve the Chouf area, around 700,000 resident during winter and 1,700,000
resident in summer. Availability of the funds determine the project
implementation and finalization, purchase and installing the recovery-bed
will take maximum two weeks and the bed would be
operational.

Multi Paramter Monitor for the Public walk-in-clinic of Bater.

Kitchen Equipment for the Village Welfare Society. Value 23,000 USD. The
Village Welfare Society in Deirkouche serves the community in offering
training for practical skills, such as cooking, home economy, crafts, small
business management. The project was completed jointly with Rotary Club of
Flint-USA.

Water Purification Plant connected to the existing Water Reservoir in the
village of Aammatour. Value 29,654 USD. Matching grant
no. 66282 with AMAGER club of Denmark was signed and the work
started during month of June 2008 and project was inaugurated on the 13th of June 2009.

Small fire fighters for the village of DierElKamar and surrounding villages
that can easily drive into the forests of the Chouf region. This is quite
important especially after the fire that erupted in September and threatened
the whole area. Matching grant no. 66393. Value 37,000 USD.

Plant a cedar tree for the Army martyr's in the CHOUF CEDAR RESERVE.

Pool table for the social & sports club of
Beit-el-deen.

EKG for the public medical clinic in the Mazraet El Chouf.

Provide the Community Center of Jadietet El Chouf village with heating

- Distribution of medical equipments for the 70,000 displaces refugees from
the south due to 12th of July Israeli war on Lebanon, with the assistance of
Rotarians Olivier Daher from France and Rotarian Jihad Suleiman and Rotarian
Marie-France Suleiman from Belgium.
- Nursing Emergency Unit for the "Sœurs de la Croix" Home for
the disabled. Value is 23,000 USD. The "Sœurs de la Croix " (Sister
of the Cross) is a humanitarian home for the disabled (mental and physical
disability) in Deir-el-Kamar. The nuns are taking care of the 300 residents
of the Home, having a nursing emergency unit at the center will help them in
demonstrating an effective first aid assistance prior to moving the patients
to a hospital. The timely and efficient handling of an emergency case will
decrease the risk on the patient and increases the recovery
percentage. This project started in year 2006-2007 but the matching grant
was finalized during year 2007-2008.
- Free Hearing Test sessions was organized throughout the villages of
Chouf by Rotarian Bassem El Sayed (ENT Doctor).
- Free Early Eye disease inspection in the Baaklien Medical center
demonstrated by Dr. BouHamdan under the supervision of Rotarian Talaat Talih.

- Construction of a roundabout in Maser-Beit-El-deen that is a main
intersection in the Chouf district, with the assistance of .Rotary Clubs of Chateaux-Roux, Chateaux-roux Georges Sand, Issoudun, Le Vroux Boishcat
Champagne, Le Blanc Val de Creuse Argenton and La Chatre en Bas Berry.
- Building a Drinking Water Reservoir for Mazraet-El-Dahr village with
assistance of Rotary Clubs of Chateaux-Roux, Chateauxroux Georges Sand, Issoudun, Le Vroux Boishcat
Champagne, Le Blanc Val de Creuse Argenton and La Chatre en Bas Berry
(Matching Grant No. 59866).

Donating Equipments for the Library at the Mazraet-El-Dhar Municipality that
includes Computer, LCD Projector, books, wooden shelves , tables and chairs.

Donating a Ceramic Kiln for the Lebanese University Fine Arts Branch in
Deir-el-Kamar. Cost 2,260 USD with the assistance of Rotary Club of Baabda.

Furnishing the French Cultural Center in Deir-el-Kamar "Bibliobus"
with new books and a computer with LCD screen to fit in the mobile library

Donation 1200 USD to sponsor SIX orphans from Annout Welfare
